The region of Piemonte
Piedmont is a geographically diverse region, relatively undiscovered and famous for producing some of the world's finest food and wines. It boasts some of Europe's most stunning landscapes with a multitude of vineyards and rolling hills and medieval hilltop villages. This is the most famous wine region of Italy producing such renowned wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato D’Asti. Piedmont's local cuisine is also famous throughout Italy, the precious white truffles of this region are a special delicacy and it is almost impossible to not eat well in local restaurants here.
