Specialist courses and workshops tailored for people looking to work with specific population groups usually have a pre-requisite for entry of a level 2 qualification in a related subject, although information on suitability and entry requirements should be sought directly from the training provider as this varies.

Active IQActive IQ is the specialist Ofqual approved awarding body covering Health, Fitness, Sport and Recreation. Their website provides informatio about their qualifications and details of the centres offering those qualifications. OCR/RSA (Oxford, Cambridge & RSA Examinations)The OCR is an awarding body for general and vocational qualifications including National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ's) in Instruction Exercise and Fitness. Their website gives information about the qualifications but doesn't list on it the educational centres offering the courses.
