Pembrokeshire 'Adventure' Seekers Hi, I have just looked at your webpage and am so inspired that I am going to try and set up a group of "adventure" seekers here in Pembrokeshire. I have already arranged to meet a good friend and active 50 year old (I am very active 56) for a pint tonight to put my idea forward. I used to be an outdoor activities instructor and firmly believe there are many over 50s who would love a bit of adventure presented in the right manner. Anyway, well done its fantastic to see how successful you are. Tony Davies Posted by on 16 May 2009 Ageless Opportunities I am working in Great Yarmouth as the Development Coordinator for "Ageless Opportunities". This is a project funded by Neighbourhood Renewal Funding, until 03/08. (I started in late Sept 2006) My task has been to find activities (social and physical) in the Greater Yarmouth Borough for people over 50 and compile a directory of these. The Directory was published in March, there are over 80 activities in it. 5000 were published and there are only about 100 copies left now. It has been wonderful to find how many activities are going on and to put people in touch with them! Posted by Kate Platt on 08 January 2008 | ![]() ![]() |

I live in a village and I know for sure that some of the villagers would love to have an activity apart from walking or badminton which they could attend locally as many of them still work and their time is precious. I walk, do stretches at home and have recently started teaching chair based exercises, but there is definitely a gap for the middle age group with little time to spare, which is active but doesn't add injury to our delicate bodies.
