Engine block process
The engine block is dismantled the crankshaft removed and main and big and little end bearings disposed of
the crankshaft, pistons, conrods and the engine block are then chemical cleaned at a very high temperature
this is to remove any carbon and debris deposits from the engine and components previous life
once the engine and components are cleaned they are then inspected and replaced as necessary.
the piston chambers in the engine block are then re-bored/re-lined if required, all chambers are re-honed
the crankshaft is the re-ground and balanced if needed and all journals polished
when we satisfied that all main parts are to a very good standard or been replaced if not
we will re build the engine block with new shell bearings, piston rings ect all torqued up to manufactures specs.
Cylinder Head process
The cylinder head is dismantled and the valves and valve stem oil seals are disposed of
the cylinder head and cams are chemical cleaned just as the engine block and components were
the cylinder is checked for wear, cracks and trueness pressure tested and refaced or replaced as necessary
Valve guides are then checked for wear and replaced as necessary
all valves are New and then lapped into the head then vacuum tested.
The camshaft is then checked for wear and replaced as necessary.
again once we are satisfied that all the major parts are to a very good standard or been replaced if not
we will re build the cylinder head with new valve stem oil seals, valves ect all torqued up to manufactures specs.
The cylinder head is then fitted to the engine block with a new cylinder head gasket
and again torqued up to the manufactures specs
and bench run and compression tested
