She would have been thrilled that we could raise so much money (£1,100 at present) but she would have been even more made-up to know everyone had turned out just for her. Someone said to me that it was a pity that there was so much fog that evening, but do you know what, I believe that was the dust being kicked up on the floor of heaven by Shirley and all our other dancing friends who were looking down and feeling proud to see the legacy they left behind.
