Congratulations
I feel I must congratulate Dyffryn Community Council and all those who helped to make the Queen's Diamond Jubilee a very special event for everyone in the community, especially the children who will remember it for many years to come.

The occasion highlighted what can be done when people get together with a common interest.

May Elections
I find it strange that the name of the labour candidate who was supposed to stand against Cllr Martyn Peters in the fourthcoming May election for Dyffryn Clydach cannot be found? It maybe just a rumour started by the labour party to try and unsettle the people who are standing? Perhaps the labour party cannot find anyone who is good enough to compete with what we have now in Dyffryn Clydach? I would not put it past them to conjour up a Conservative candidate to stand. Only God and the labour leaders would know that. They have been resopsible for enough dirty tricks in the past to make people think that of them anyway. I wonder if Cllr Ali Thomas can shed any light on the subject. It would be very helpful if he could?

Congratulations to Cllr.Martyn Peters and Dyffryn Clydach CC on the way they have acted during the election and did not need to ask for help.
Well done Martyn and good luck.
