Hello! My name is Clare, and I'm from the North East of England, although I've travelled all over and have picked up all sorts of influences!

I live in a smallish village slap bang in the middle of the North East with my daft dog, Alfie. While I'm crafting on an evening, he can usually be found sprawled nearby, keeping a careful eye on my progress!

alfie! Gran taught me to knit when I was tiny, and I started knitting clothes for my Barbies when I was about 8- since then I've upgraded to knitting stuff for full-sized people. Crocheting is a more recent skill, but I love crocheting amigurumi and little toys. I also enjoy needlework, jewellery making and a little sculpting, but these are generally for specific projects!

some acquired wool! I love picking up bargain wool from car boot sales or house clearances, and it means that most of my projects are one of a kind, using remnants or mystery balls- although I do sometimes go out and buy yarn specifically for certain projects, I'm totally of the 'let the wool tell you what it wants to be' school of knitting!

When I'm not crafting, I adore reading and cooking (although rarely at the same time) and spending time in the countryside, exploring castles, or just generally adventuring!
