What are the benefits of an Indian Head Massage

Head Massage increases bloodflow and oxygen to the scalp and hair follicle which in turns stimulates hair growth. It's a one way ticket to long, luscious locks!

Stimulates and improves lymphatic drainage and blood flow to the neck thus helping to remove waste products from the body.

Focuses on your head, neck and shoulders releiving tension. It is a deep massage, which uses a variety of pressure and techniques that tap into your seven "'chakras" or paths of energy and encourage healing and balance in your whole body.

Are there any side effects to an Indian Head Massage

Following a treatment some clients experience tiredness, dizziness, an increased desire to urinate (as the body eliminates toxins and waste materials) or aching muscles. All of these side effects usually last for no more than a few hours, after which clients generally experience increased energy and alertness.

Always make sure that you avoid alcohol for at least five hours before the treatment., and any stimulants after the treament - caffeine, nicotine and alcohol.

Will I need to wash my hair before/after?

The scalp massage stimulates the bloodflow to the skin and increases the production of natural oils, so your hair may feel slightly oily after the massage, In addition a small amount of oil is usually transferred to the hair from the shoulders and neck.

What type of oil is used ?

Nut oils are avoided.

Pure Coconut Oil is used to massage the neck, back, shoulders, arms and hands. Unlike baby oil or some Bio oils, theis oil is absorbed nicely into the skin and do  not leave any residue.

Orange Facila Oil from Neals Yard is used on the face and ears. This is organic and paraben free and smells fantastic.

If you have a favourite oil you would like to use that's great. It's your bosy.
