“A wonderful B&B in the heart of Braemar” We loved our stay at Clunie Lodge - our host was delightful and welcoming, full of knowledge about the local area and its most famous inhabitants..! The breakfasts were amazing! Delicious and extremely generous in size, just what we needed to set us up for long days out in the hills. Our room was extremely comfortable and we slept brilliantly.... “Excellent... Couldn't have been more accommodating.” The welcome we received and the level of hospitality at Clunie Lodge was outstanding.

From offering to wash and dry our walking gear, borrowing flasks of hot drinks, fixing packed lunches and arranging a ridiculously early breakfast for us, our every need was cheerfully catered for.

If only all B&Bs were like this (and so reasonably priced!). Keep up the good work!

Stayed December 2011, travelled with friends. jrwhitwell Lake District

“Very nice guest house in Central Highlands” Reviewed 23 September 2011 Beautiful house perfectly situated. Very hospitable hosts and excellent breakfast in nice and cosy breakfast room.

“Experts in spoiling” The owners know exactly how to please their customers! Aberdeen, United Kingdom

“Lovey place, very nice accommodation, extremely friendly host and hostess” Beautiful B&B, very conveniently located. The host and hostess couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating! The furnishings are up to date and very comfortable. The building and grounds are immaculate and the breakfast was perfect!. We would certainly stay here again if we were to be in the area. “Very comfortable and great service” Myself and a mate arrived soaked after a very wet end to a day in the hills. We were shown the boot-room and offered the services of the aga for waterproofs which were needed later. Later, and without us asking, the owners even took wet socks away to dry and put newspaper in our boots to aid drying. Great customer service.

The room (4) was very nice and confortable and offered a superb and quiet night's sleep.. One slight grumble was the inability to stand up in the bath while having a shower, but a sit down shower was fine.

Breakfast was very nice and the owners had ensured that gluten free bread was available for my toast and even gave me a couple of chocolate biscuits as I left as they had forgot to put them out in the room.

The price was very reasonable considering the house accommodation and the high level of service. To be honest I'm suprised that this isn't a 4* B&B. Stirling, United Kingdom

“super place to stay” great house, big breakfast, lovely hosts, neatly kept gardens, great views from our bedroom window see the red squirrels the room was more than adequate. Will stay here again.Rich & Anita.

“Fantastic stay in Braemar” We have now visited Braemar a number of times for holidays and have always stayed at the Clunie Lodge Guest House. We cannot recommend this guest house highly enough. Ideally situated for a visit to the Highlands for all sorts of activities (hiking, mountaineering, sight seeing, winter sports etc.)

Expertly run by the nicest couple. Nothing is too much trouble and if it is your first visit you are in good hands for info. on what to do and where to go. Also breakfast is a treat with lots on offer to suit everyone.

“Extremely Cosy B&B” Me and my girlfriend stayed here for one night, and for us, everything was perfect.

The property is extremely nice, and gives you a royal feeling when you enter it. There's a sign on the gates to keep it shut to make sure the deer don't come in and eat the flowers...romantic!

We brought bikes, and the residents stored them for us in the garage along with their old retro sportscar.

We got room 2 which is superb! It faces out towards the front lawn, and this has to be one of the best rooms in the house, if possible, ask for this one! the room was spotless, and very delicately decorated. My girlfriend especially liked the make-up table in front of the large windows facing the lawn.

The owners had provided some material about the surrounding restaurants, and we used it to find a really nice restaurant in the area.

The breakfast the next morning was also delightful, you have to try the muffins while there!

All in all an absolutely wonderful stay at a beautfful guest house. Will come back if we are in the area!  Oslo, Norway

“A great place to stay” A warm welcome in a delightful home in an idyllic peaceful setting with caring and helpful hosts. Our ensuite room was spacious and lacked nothing with even a small table and chairs in the window where we could relax with a cup of tea and admire the lovely surroundings which even included a red squirrel, It is a long way from our own home on the Isle of Wight but we would like to think we shall be able to return some day and hopefully stay a little longer. Isle of Wight, United Kingdom

“Excellent!” This place was truly excellent. The hosts were very friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was very good and customizable, but you have to choose the day before. It's a very quiet and relaxing place.
Not a lot of restaurants around there, mostly pubs, and one shop who stay open late.
This place is perfect for hikers who want to discover the area, which is beautiful. The hosts can help about choosing a trail. Geneva, Switzerland
