What does a treatment entail?

The length of the first treatment is approximately one hour and twenty minutes. A full medical history will be taken.

You will then be placed in a comfortable, reclined position with your bare feet raised. The reflexologist will apply a moisturiser to your feet.

As the therapist works over the reflexes, all responses will be noted. These are important as they act as a guide to where problems may lie and indicated the areas that should receive most attention. At the end of a treatment you should feel extremely relaxed with a sense of well-being.

The outcome of the treatment will be discussed and hand homework may be given.

Treatment sessions thereafter will last an hour.

Can I expect any side effects?

In most cases there is little or no adverse reaction to treatment. Most people experience a calm relaxed feeling of well-being and some may feel invigorated and full of energy. However, some people experience a runny nose, a few extra trips to the toilet or a general feeling of tiredness. These are normal reactions due to the body releasing toxins. None of these should last more than a day or two

The number of treatments required will vary from person to person. This will be discussed during the initial consultation

How many treatments will I need?
Reflexology is a natural system that `peels’ away the `layers’ until the original problem is encountered. When the root cause finally dealt with, it can be surprising to see how many other problems are either helped or eliminated all together.
