The men’s Section compete in the Llanelli League and the Western Section of the Welsh Private Greens League and also compete in the WBA’s Carruthers Shield competion for all clubs (Welsh Cup) and have regularly reached the knock-out stages.
The Ladies Section competes in the Dinefwr Ladies League where they have won the title on numerous occasions.
The Club also plays mixed friendly games against other Clubs in West Wales and also hosts from time to time Bowling Clubs from further afield that are touring in the West Wales area.
The Club’s facilities and Bowling green are held in high esteem in the area and both the Men’s and Women’s County Associations hold their home County Championship matches on our green.
The club is fortunate in that several players are usually selected for County Teams, they also make themselves available to help and develop new and existing bowlers within the Club.
Membership fees for new Members
In order to attract new members, the club made the decision to reduce its annual membership fee for new members to £25.00 for the first year with incremental progression to the full fee of £110.00 over the next 3 years.
The membership fee for Juniors and students in full time education is £10.00.
Membership of the Club allows unlimited use of the Bowling green with no additional rink hire fees and use of the clubs facilities.
There is always a warm welcome for new members and visitors to our Club and if you would like to try your hand at a game of Bowls, the Club is open most evenings around 6.00p.m. with Tuesday and Friday evenings being the most popular. Don’t worry if you don’t have any bowls, equipment will be provided, that’s all you need to start is a pair of smooth soled trainers
This is a great opportunity for anyone who is looking for something new to do outdoors in the fresh air during the summer months where friends are made for life.
Opening Day 2022
The Club will officially open for play on Saturday 23rd April, 2022 and will kick off at 2.00 p.m. with a friendly game amongst members and newcomers with the Club Captain and Vice Captain selecting teams to play each other
Social Events
Various social events and free coaching will be held throughout the season.
Before the onset of COVID the Club held regular Bingo evenings during the winter months and also had a team in the Towy Valley Dominoes League.
Pavilion / Room Hire
The Club makes its facilities available for the use of community groups throughout the year and has also been used as a vaccination centre during the recent COVID outbreak. The hire fees are very compettitive when compared with other facilities in the town and the Club's proximity to one of the Town's large Car parks brings its advantages.
If you wish to make an enquiry regarding room hire then please contact:
