Please leave any views or comments here Public Meeting PUBLIC MEETING - Wednesday 24 September starting at 8.00pm at the Copmmunity Centre, Spratton Road,Brixworth. Barratt homes phase 2 application expected any day now. Redrow application expected before very long. Posted by Bob on 22 September 2014 Housing for local people Why aren't any of these housing being built for the local families in need, i.e. housing Association/council???? Local council said there is none and Bromford housing said the same?? Posted by Eve on 10 September 2014 Not sure what you mean Eve. There are some bungalows which are affordable housing on Barratts and there will be some houses to come as the estate grow. There will be about 45 " affordable homes" by the time this current phase is finished. I am not sure which housing asssociations are involved. Posted by Bob on 10 September 2014 Development I would be one of the first to support progress however not at the expense of the existing. The infrastructure of Brixworth is already over stretched, the school, the shops, the doctors, and so on. The biggest issue is the roads outward in the morning, unless you have cleared the village by 7:30 the queue at the Holcot junction or from Raybell's into town is simply a joke and will only get worse. DDC don't care as we are far enough away to be out of site so out of mind, they are only interested in the additional revenue none of which we appear to beneift from Posted by Paul Moll on 09 June 2014 Throw in the irreversible changes to the landscape and you have just about summed it up for the vast majority of us. Not quite sure about DDC but they do seem to have their own agenda which does not favour Brixworth or Moulton. Posted by Bob on 10 June 2014 New sign Someone has taken exception to the new sign ! Usual ill informed comments about BRANE objecting to everything and being politically motivated. I suppose we will have to find out who put it there and ask them to remove it, for the time being at least. Maybe we can have the Brixworth sign put back in its place as well. Don't forget about Thursday evening. We need to know what you think. Please encourage everyon to come whatever their opinion. Posted by Bob on 09 June 2014 View All Posts, Ever!
