Adventures of SuperMomDreamsby Unknown - 23:29 on 18 May 2008I read an article once that said everyone dreams, every night...with no exceptions. Some people just don't have great memory recall so they don't remember dreaming. I don't always remember my dreams but when I do, they are strange. I'm not talking about strange as in, you wake up and think, "Wow...that was kind of weird." I'm talking about those dreams where you wake up and can't even think because you are in a state of shock. The problem is not even so much that they are weird. It's more the fact that they are SO vivid. They are like real memories and not the foggy memories that you associate with dreams. I once had a dream that where my old high school stands, there was a village. My mother, step father, brothers, husband, children and I lived there. My uncle came running down the road, yelling "They've hit the hospital! They got the hospital and they're headed this way." The next thing I know there are 30 or 40 men with huge guns running over a hill, coming straight for us. We all decided to go into hiding and rushed around packing our cars and heading out. I woke up terrified, shaking and with tears pouring down my face. I had one of those weird dreams last night. Most of my dreams are disturbing and this one was no different. Too disturbing to share all the details but I will give you a bit of the not-so-bad-but-just-as-weird details. I was walking down a wide, paved walkway that ran right down beside a bay with boats and jet skis everywhere. I was with my mother and we were walking in a large crowd of people. All of a sudden, everyone started diving into the water and swimming away. Claudia was walking with someone else (can't remember who she was with) but I told them I didn't want her in the water and they took her anyway. I followed along and as soon as I hit the water, I was no longer worried about where Claudia was. I just knew she was fine. Then, my mother and I paddled our way under a concrete pier. I remember looking up and seeing large holes and seeing the sky beyond those holes. Just weird, stupid, random images in my brain that somehow link themselves together to make a really messed up kind of story. So, I woke up late this morning (because I have a hard time sleeping at night) and when I did, I was just in a state of shock. I came out into the living room. Dewayne was sitting here with the kids and I was trying my best to get my mind on something other than the dream. I called my mother to find out what she was doing. I was hoping she'd talk a lot and I'd have no choice but to follow what she was saying and forget the messed up dream. No such luck! She knew something was up and asked me what was wrong. I ended up telling her about it and still hadn't solved my problem. After hanging up the phone, I picked up a favorite book of mine. I won't say names but I will tell you it's about a young wizard that has a certain scar and has to defeat a certain dark wizard. Yeah, so I'm lame. I know. Get over it. My dear wizard friend certainly did the trick. I thought back on it every now and then but I was able to keep the memories of that horrible dream out of my head mostly all day. My dreams tend to stick with me all day and leave me in a state of panic and fear. I'm glad I have a way of fighting this now though. So, thanks my wizard buddy! With the dream dilemma out of the way, I went for a walk today with Claudia and Zachary. We walked around the lake near our house and tried to spot squirrels and birds. I had my camera with me but haven't examined the shots I was able to take. I don't think I got any good pictures out of my little walk today but I'll be checking them later and if I have anything good I'll post it up in the "DOWNLOADS" section within the next few days. All in all, my day was not ruined by my dream. Most of the time, I have a hard time functioning. I had a GREAT day with my children though. I was able to get a lot of the housework out of the way; housework I'd been putting off for a while. I'm going to try to go spend some time with Dewayne since all the children are tucked into bed and snoozing away. I rented a few movies tonight and also received a few in the mail from NetFlix. Maybe we'll actually get to watch a whole movie by ourselves for once!
