Queens Hall Watton

Norfolk IP25 6DA

The Queens Hall, in Watton, a market town in the heart of Norfolk, is in a central position in the town, being at the crossroads of the two main roads, near the traffic lights.

The Hall, originally called The Coronation Hall, was opened in 1956 and was the brain child of a group of local people who wanted to build a venue that the local community could use and enjoy. It was at a time when there was a new young Queen, Elizabeth II, on the throne and the country was recovering for the aftermath of WWII, so this was a positive project for the town.

As a registered Charity, the Hall is managed by a Committee of Trustees who are all interested in maintaining the use of this lovely hall for the growing population of Watton.

The Hall has the facilties that offer a good range of uses from small meetings to large gatherings.  It's main facilities are :

  • A large main hall which has a beautiful sprung floor and a fully equipped stage.
  • The Green Room which is suitable for meetings
  • The balcony room which also has a small kitchen.

There is also a bar which can be opened at the request of the Hirer.

Disability Access

The main hall and toilets are easily accessible by wheelchair users.

A stair lift enables access to the balcony.

Parking

There is ample parking at the rear of the hall and limited parking at the front.

The Hall has regular users and a diary of events is kept up to date, so if you are interested in hiring the Hall, please contact the booking manager, Mike Rix  for full details.
