Kathleen Berg and Alan Morris
We were founded initially to perform, in medieval costume, music specifically for the Beauchamp Chapel in St Mary’s Church, Warwick, and under the name Musique for ye Earles of Warwicke we present programmes of music from the earliest times to about 1550. Go to Musique for ye Earles of Warwicke from the menu to see what we do.
More recently, under the title Musick Rediscover’d, we perform music from about 1550 to 1800, again in costume. Go to Musick Rediscover’d for information on our performances.
We also play for dancing of these periods – for example the bass danse “La Danse de Cleves” of the time of the Wars of the Roses through to country dances such as “The Earl of Kent’s Waltz” of Jane Austen’s time (when they didn’t actually waltz!)
