Kirkwall Council of Churches

We are located in the Orkney Islands, UK,  in the capital, Kirkwall.

The KCC is an affiliation of eight Kirkwall Churches:

St Olaf's Episcopal Church, Church of Scotland's East Kirk, the United Reform Church - known locally as the Peedie Kirk, Kirkwall Baptist Church, Our Lady and St Joseph, the Roman Catholic Church, the Salvation Army, and St Magnus Cathedral, under the care of the Church of Scotland and our newest member, the Christian Growth Centre. It is a good mix of different Christian traditions who meet together to get to know and understand one another.

This site acts as an umberella for the KCC members.

Warm Spaces

From October, Kirkwall Council of Churches will be providing Warm Space on Mondays and Fridays - somewhere warm for people to come along and have a cup of tea/coffee, chat, charge up electronic devices, study, read, knit and so on.  On Mondays we'll be at the King St Halls from 10am-4pm, and on Fridays we'll be at The Life Centre from 10am-4pm. Anyone is welcome to come along to this - though children must be accompanied by an adult.
