LEAGUE RULES
FOR 2023 SEASON
GENERAL RULES
- All new teams to be vetted by the Committee as to which Division they will play in.
- Each team registered with the League is requested to provide suitable facilities for both darts and dominoes, on games night i.e. WEDNESDAY.
- One representative from each team must attend the monthly meeting. A fine of £5 will be payable by any team not represented.
- Each new team will be required to pay an entrance fee of £5 on joining the league, if this is subsequently used in fines a further £5 must be paid BEFORE the team plays another match.
- A levy of 25p per game is to be paid by every playing person. Each team representative is required to collect this levy, £6.00 for Premier & Division 1 teams, £5.50p for Division 2 teams per match. This money to be paid to the Treasurer at the monthly meetings.
- A rule may only be altered/changed at the Annual General Meeting.
- Officials i.e. Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee to be elected each year at the A.G.M. and honorariums awarded at the end of the season to each member currently £360.00 each

- All result cards must be filled in correctly and signed by both captains. THE ONUS IS ON THE HOME TEAM CAPTAIN TO ENSURE THAT THE RESULT CARDS ARE SENT TO THE SECRETARY TO ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 6:00 P.M. ON THE THURSDAY FOLLOWING THE GAMES TAKING PLACE ON THE WEDNESDAY EVENING.
RESULTS CARDS MUST BE PHOTOGRAPHED AND SENT TO THE SECRETARY VIA FACEBOOK MESSENGER OR WHATSAPP IDEALLY ON THE EVENING OF THE RESULT. A FINE OF £5 WILL BE LEVIED FOR LATE RESULT CARDS ALSO 3 DART & 3 DOMINOES POINTS WILL DEDUCTED FOR ALL LATE CARDS (HOME TEAM ONLY)

ALL RESULT CARDS TO BE BROUGHT TO MONTHLY MEETINGS AND HANDED TO THE SECRETARY. THE COMMITTEE WILL RETAIN ALL RESULT CARDS FOR THE SEASON.
- All disputes must be settled on games night by the respective captains. If this proves impossible, the result card should be delivered to the Secretary as normal but unsigned and with a written explanation. BOTH CAPTAINS MUST THEN ATTEND THE NEXT MONTHLY MEETING WHERE THE DISPUTE WILL BE RESOLVED.
- A registration fee of £1.50p is payable by every player on or before a date fixed annually at the A.G.M. This fee enables a player to play both darts and dominoes. PLAYERS CAN BE REGISTERD, BY TEAMS, ON GAMES NIGHTS THROUGH THE SEASON, THE REGISTRATION FEE TO BE PAID AT THE NEXT MEETING. PLAYERS CAN ALSO BE REGISTERD AT MONTHLY MEETINGS.
NEW LICENSEES MAY REGISTER AT ANY TIME. THIS INCLUDES ANY RELIEF LICENSEES.
- Any team playing a non-registered player will be suspended for the reminder of the season. ALL RESULTS FOR THE SEASON WILL BE NULL AND VOID AND ALL POINTS FOR GAMES PLAYED BY THE OFFENDING TEAM WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM ALL RESULTS.
- Any player not having played for the team, which he/she has registered, may at any time during the season apply for a transfer. The player must first notify the SECRETARY in writing and then attend the following monthly meeting. A player registering with more than one team is officially registered with the first team he/she plays for.
- A player may transfewr teams once during a season. The transfer can take place at any point in the FIRST HALF OF THE SEASON. The player wishing to transfer must notify the secretary (S.BOLTON 07794512619 via whats app) by tuesday 8pm prior to the wednesday fixture. A Transfer fee of £5 will be made to the league
14.Only 2 current county squad members per team male or female may play on any games night
15.Teams who fail to turn up for a game will be penalised as follows Average points will be awarded to the non offending team for both darts & dominoes in which ever half of the season it occurs the offending team will lose the same amount of points for both darts & dominoes also the offending team and not the public house/club has to pay £20 towards the cost of the food that the non offending team has put on for the games. A team must have at least 4 players in attendance in addition to the above fine and points deduction. A team that fails to turn up for the last game of the season will be fined £50 to be paid to the league failure to pay this fine will result in the venue and all players being unable to play in the league the following season
16.Any player who is barred from an establishment at which he/she is due to play must obtain permission from the respective licensee. In the event of this affecting the Doubles and Individual Competitions, the players’ venue will be changed.
17. The entry fee for Individuals and Doubles Competitions is £2.00 per player. This fee MUST be paid before the start of the relevant competition.
18. Pairings for Doubles competitions to be made up of any players registered with the League. In the Doubles a player who finds himself without a partner is excluded.
19. All Individuals and Doubles to be played on Wednesdays and not postponed for any reason whatsoever.
20.Teams owing money to the League to be suspended from the League until such money owed is paid to the Treasurer. No player who is signed on with teams owing money will be allowed to play in the league for TWO YEARS.
21.NO GAMES to be cancelled. In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Committee to make the decision whether any games are cancelled.
22. Once a game has started no breaks are allowed until the game has been completed.
- All annual trophies to be returned to the committee by the date specified. Failure to return a trophy by the set date will result in a £10 fine. If a trophy is lost or irreparably damaged the team will be responsible for a replacement trophy.
Large wooden shields cost between £150 and £200
Large cups cost between £200 and £250
Failure to pay for replacement will result in a ban from the league until the monies have been re-paid.
- It is the responsibility of the HOME team to provide supper for both teams.
