The Cycle Routes

Cycling is a hugely popular sport in Spain and Asturias provides perhaps the most varied and spectacular cycling in the country. From gentle rides along the river valleys, beautiful coastal routes and brutal mountain climbs in the Picos there are days to suit every rider. We are happy to suggest and plan routes or support groups with pre-selected rides. Our aim is to work with you and to not necessarily tie you into a rigorous structure of daily rides. The Vuelta a Espana normally has a number of stages in Asturias and stage 15 this year will pass through Cangas de Onis covering some of the roads you will cycle on. The famous Lagos of Covadonga climb, which featured in the Contador-Froome battle in last year's Vuelta, is only 15 km from our base and well worth a visit.
