Larch Cottage is a pretty 18th century house in the heart of Novar Estate. It was renovated in 2006 and comprises a kitchen, sitting room, downstairs double/twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom with separate bath and shower, drying cupboard and a separate WC on the ground floor. On the first floor there is one double/twin room and one double room with a shared bathroom. Central heating is oil fired and the sitting room has an open fire with logs provided. There are two kennels and dogs are also permitted in the back hall and kitchen. It is an ideal base for parties of fisherman or stalkers or family holidays. The cottage is only twenty minutes from Inverness but also has the benefit of the 20,000 acres of Novar Estate made up of woodland, farmland and open hill. There are over 150 miles of tracks for walking and cycling with the chance of seeing red squirrels, red, roe and sika deer and the elusive capercaillie. The castles of Dunrobin and Cawdor are not far away. There are numerous potteries, art galleries and craft shops.
