Welcome to Wester Whinhill - our on-line diary of building a garage and swimming pool room at our house in Dornoch. We started our build in February 2006 and will post our progress week by week on the 'Project' pages in the menu bar on the left.
The finished building will be 7.8 metres x 7.2 metres in size and is of timber frame / block render construction with a very high level of insulation (e.g. 250 mm loft insulation and 70 mm Kingspan insulation under the concrete floors).
