This summer, on Saturday 4th July 2015, I, together with my faithful companion, Amber, my yellow Labrador, will be setting off on our second 'Bumble' venture..

Taking 'Annie', my 41yr old Massey Ferguson 135 tractor, and with caravan in tow, we'll be trundling right round the circumference of Northern and Southern Ireland..some 3,500 miles..

Last year we set off on our first 'Bumble'..from John O'Groats, via Land's End, and up to the north of Norway, Nordkapp..and back again..! Some 8,000 miles, it took five and a half months to complete, finishing this January, having 'enjoyed' severe gales, snow, ice and very low temperatures..all on my open tractor, at just 12mph..!

Having raised money for two charities, Tom Bowdidge Foundation and UNICEF..and spreading the message, the journey highlighted the generosity and love of the many people we met over and over, a humbling experience. We hope to repeat the experience again..

And from that experience, 'Irish Bumble' is proud to support the wonderful work of Teenage Cancer Trust and Irish Cancer Society..

To quote Teenage Cancer Trust..
"Sadly every day in the UK 7 young people hear the devastating news that they have cancer.  Many get rare and aggressive forms of the disease and they have to undergo really gruelling treatment.  We want to ensure that young people are treated together and have access to the best possible treatment, care and support from the point of diagnosis.  Everything we do is about making sure that’s what happens.  However, we rely completely on donations to fund our vital work in our units and nothing that we do would be possible without the support of people like you."
