Hi and a warm welcome to my food blog,
If you are interested in food I am sure that you will find something of interest here.
I am passionate about food of all types (as can be seen from my waiste line) and decided to build this site in order to share recipes tips and information with all who are interested.
Here are a few details about myself I am 65 years old and live at Maldon in Essex I have now retired and cooking is a hobby rather than an occupation.
I like to experiment, and with a little help from:- The Sausage Making Forum members and Phil from The Local Food Heros Blog, I have finally got round to doing the things that I never found time to do whilst working. Curing my own ham and bacon, making pastrami, sausages, butter and bread. I am in the process of building my own smoker for bacon and fish etc. Whilst I was working we would ocassionly make bread rolls, but due to time constraints the ingredients came in the form of a 12.5 kilo bag of bread mix from Mc Dougals. I have to admit the results were quite acceptable but the satisfaction just was not there. Anyway enough about me, I hope you enjoy the site and please feel free to leave a comment in the guest book, or go to my forum page and post your comments and recipes there, I have already started a couple of threads, so feel free to add to them
