We have created this website to share our experiences of the expeditions which we have undertaken since July 2007. We started trekking in the mountains in 1994 when we were in our early 40's. We walked and backpacked in the Pyrenees and then the Alps before getting into winter snowshoeing and then summer alpinism. We then decided to give up work as soon as we could so that we could do some much longer expeditions. We managed to achieve this in the summer of 2007 and immediately took off to backpack the GR10 across the Pyrenees. 

We are aiming to post an account of all our different expeditions on this site, outlining how we organised and undertook the trip, the equipment used and the problems encountered.  We found other people's accounts of their trips on the web both helpful and inspirational when we were starting out and hope our experiences will be equally useful.
