Do pigs dream?
Dear Theresa,
This year, my husband and I went for our holiday to Scotland. We were on our road and saw at the church the sign of the exposition and stopped. Soon my husband noticed your panting on the wall and took it and held it in front of me. I can tell you that it was for me love at first sight. All my live I am a great admirer of pigs in general, I think they are very attractive and smart.
But that was not all, something else to this painting besides the pig, strongly pulled my affection. It was the spiritual atmosphere of the painting and the name “do pigs dream?”. If I look at it, it puts me in a sort of meditation / dream state, all together I love it!!
The “do pigs dream?” is now hanging in the kitchen so I can see it every day!
I looked at your web-site to see more of your work and I think you are a great artist! I also noticed that my Pig is different from all the other paintings. The other ones are painted in a more natural state of their being but this painting is different. I got curious and wonder what did inspire you to paint my Pig in this way ? I am sure that you felt different with this masterpiece, please let me know your secret about the Pig so I can dive in it.

And about the question “do Pigs dream” for me it is for sure they can!
Hope to hear from you
Kind regards,
All the best

Dear Mir,
How lovely to hear that this dreamy pig has found such a happy home with people who understand her.
So, what went on in my head as I was creating this? That is a tricky one. I think that this is a classic example of a painting taking on a life of it's own.
To begin with I intended to paint a realistic picture, but after I drew the mouth something struck me - what is this pig smiling about? My imagination then went on a little journey and the art just naturally followed. I love it when that happens. I have always enjoyed reading children's picture books and think that has been an influence here.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this scene and somehow felt that I had revealed a hidden side of myself. I am therefore very encouraged to find that it has had such a positive affect on you.
I do intend to explore this fantasy theme further, so watch this space.
Thank you again for leaving this message, I do like to hear where my animal friends have settled down,
Kind regards,
Theresa

Rounding up sheep
It's lovely to see you thriving in Scotland - I really get the feel of the animals and the Scottish weather!!

- Is the painting at the head of the guestbook section - the five sheep being rounded up - for sale?

Hope you've just received my email from feedback section!
