Hello and Welcome....
to our website. We hope you enjoy your stay...
We, that is me of course, Ute, my husband Trevor and our two boys, as well as our feline family.
When I was a child, we always had cats around us, and if they were not our own, they were from the neighbours, and were spoilt by everyone.
A few years ago, after being without feline company for too long, we decided to look for a pedigree cat, and were enchanted by the looks and temperament of the siamese breed.
So, after a bit of research, we finally brought home our Layla, a lilac tortie, who has been with us since Christmas 2004. Thanks to Yvonne Kincaid from Laziza Siamese for this gorgeous, loving girl.
About two years later, Ana, a Havana Oriental, joined our family from Lynnsulynn Siamese and Oriental in Tingley. Thanks goes to Lynda Butterworth for trusting us with this cheeky, nosey mischiefmaker. She always has to have the last word.
A few years ago, I saw a picture of a cat on the internet, so beautiful, looking so majestic and at the same time relaxed, I was smitten. I had never seen a cat like this before, didn't know what breed it was or anything else about it for that matter, but had a name for it, Somali.
After quite a long period of research, I got in touch with Barbara Bullivant from Baranchri Somalis in Manchester, and had a long chat about the breed with her. I also tagged my whole family along to Birmingham to the Somali Cat Club show to have a closer look, and the rest is history.
Barbara contacted me that she had a litter of silver kittens, and if I was still interested in showing, and Kiwi, a lilac silver girl, joined us shortly after, together with her friend Foxy (renamed for her colour).
To say that those two have brightened up our lives would be an understatement, the Somali is just such a wonderful breed.
Both girls are in our breeding programme, Foxy will go to stud soon, and Kiwi still has a bit of growing to do, as well as going to a few shows to show off.
