The Scottish Bottlenose Dolphin Project is funded by the Scottish Government and Scottish Natural Heritage, and is a collaboration between the University of Aberdeen, The Scottish Association of Marine Science and the University of St Andrews Sea Mammal Research Unit. Using photo-identification techniques, the project builds on our previous work in the Moray Firth to assess the distribution, abundance and stock structure of bottlenose dolphins around Scotland.
Sightings from the public play a vital role in helping our field team locate and photograph bottlenose dolphins around these remote coasts.
WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR SIGHTINGS
