Ramsgate is by any reckoning one of the most beautiful seaside towns in the country. It has the only Royal Harbour on mainland Britain. It has more Grade 2 listed buildings that any other seaside town in the UK, and if that’s not enough, it has probably the best view, from the sea, of any coastline outside of the Mediterranean. It is embarrassingly beautiful.
That is why we on Ramsgate Carnival’s committee are determined to reflect this abundance of riches with a celebration worthy of the town.
Join or watch our Carnival procession and you’ll have not just have a moving spectacle to enjoy but as you follow the route you’ll also have a breathlessly stunning backdrop of Georgian, Regency and Victorian houses.
