I was fortunate enough to be accepted at Salisbury Art College when I was sixteen, which opened up a new world for me; from painting techniques to creative embroidery.
It is in more recent years I have rekindled my interest in art with like minded people who also like to draw and paint.  I have previously shown my work in local exhibitions including the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society which I joined a few years ago.
I particularly like working in Pastel and pencils but also use watercolour, acrilycs and guache.  I undertake commissions including pet portraits and flowers.
I love to paint animals, to capture the character of an animal is most satisfying and I’m fascinated by the shapes and bold colours of flowers.

I carry my camera with me whenever I can, visiting public gardens, woodlands and of course zoos to capture the next possible project and inspiration.
