The Toubkal group trek, Morocco is a great way for individuals to combine trekking in beautiful scenery and making new friends. The trek consists of 5 days trekking in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco, combining beautiful panoramas with the time to explore Berber villages and culture. From the first day of trekking you will be immersed in everyday Berber life watching the locals working in their terraced fields and tending to their animals. This itinerary involves early starts and strenuous trekking days, moving from camp to camp each day but you will be rewarded with many fine photo opportunities, in particular at the summit of Jebel Toubkal 4167m. At the end of the day you will be able to relax in village cafes and enjoy a cup of mint tea or paddle alongside refreshing rivers and the turquoise shores of Lac D'ifni 2295m. You will have an early wake up call of 5am in order to climb to the summit of Jebel Toubkal 4167m. Toubkal is the highest peak in Morocco and Western Africa and the views from here are breathe taking. You will trek back down to the refuge to take a well earnt rest and stay overnight. On day 6 you will retrace your steps back down to Imil via Sidi Chamharouch 2310m, a pre-Islamic saint's mausoleum. and be transfered back to Marrakech in the afternoon, giving you the opportunity to explore the souks of De Jemma El Fna in the evening.

Sleeping in 2 man tents. Trekking with a day pack to a different camp everyday. Main luggage is portaged by mules. All meals provided whilst on trek by our expedition cook. Trek led by qualified Moroccan guide who speaks English fluently.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Marrakesh airport and transfer to accommodation in Marrakesh. Trek briefing with your guide. Rest of the day free to explore the medina - hotel included. meals at own expense
Day 2: Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil 1840m (1.5 hours). Trek Tizi n Tamatert 2259m - Tachedirt 2300m (5 hours trekking) - gite, lunch & dinner included
Day 3: Trek Tizi n Likemt 3550m to Azib Likemt 2650m to Tizi n Ououraine 3120m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 4: Trek Amsouzert 1740m to Lac D'Ifni 2295m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 5: Trek Tizi n Nounoums pass 3700m - Refuge Nelter 3200m (6 hours trekking), camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 6: Trek Toubkal Summit 4167m - Refuge Nelter 3200m - Imlil 1840m (10 hours trekking) Transfer to Marrakesh (1.5 hours) - hotel, breakfast & lunch included
Day 7: Half day guided city tour in Marrakesh with free afternoon to explore the medina - hotel & breakfast included
