Toubkal circuit trek - 7 days of High Atlas panoramas and Berber village life

The Toubkal circuit trek consists of 7 days trekking in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco, combining beautiful panoramas with the time to explore Berber villages and culture. From the first day of trekking you will be immersed in everyday Berber life watching the locals working in their terraced fields and tending to their animals. This itinerary involves early starts and strenuous trekking days, moving from camp to camp each day but you will be rewarded with many fine photo opportunities, in particular at the summit of Jebel Toubkal 4167m. At the end of the day you will be able to relax in village cafes and enjoy a cup of mint tea or paddle alongside refreshing rivers and the turquoise shores of Lac D'ifni 2295m.

Sleeping in 2 man tents. Trekking with a day pack to a different camp everyday. Main luggage is portaged by mules. All meals provided whilst on trek by our expedition cook. Trek led by qualified Moroccan guide who speaks English fluently.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil 1740m (1.5 hours). Trek Tizi n Tamatert 2259m - Tachedirt 2300m (5 hours trekking) - camping, lunch & dinner included
Day 2: Trek Tizi n Likemt 3550m to Azib Likemt 2650m to Tizi n Ououraine 3120m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 3: Trek Amsouzert 1740m to Lac D'Ifni 2295m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 4: Trek Tizi n Nounoums pass 3700m - Refuge Nelter 3200m (6 hours trekking), camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 5: Trek Toubkal Summit 4167m - Refuge Nelter 3200m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 6: Trek Tizi n Ouglzime 3600m - Azib Tamsoult 2400m (6 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 7: Trek Tizi Mezik 2200m - Imlil 1800m. (5 hours trekking) Return to Marrakech (1.5 hours) - breakfast & lunch included
