Itinerary

2nd August: Group flight from London Gatwick to Marrakech,  transfer to hotel. Route and menu planning - Hotel included, dinner at own expense 
3rd August: Supermarket shop for assessment food, travel to Tachedirt (1.5 hours)  acclimatisation trek to Oukaimeden - breakfast, lunch & dinner included
4th August: Assessment trek to Imsker - breakfast included
5th August: Assessment trek to Tisi Oussem
6th August: Assessment trek to Aremd
7th August: Assessment trek to Tachedirt. Travel back to Marrakesh (1.5 hours) Celebration dinner, debrief & presentation Hotel included
8th August: Souvenir shopping or relax by the pool. Breakfast included, depart to UK

DofE gold open expedition assessment - price per person: £620 
Combined DofE gold open expedition assessment and residential - price per person: £1130

DofE gold open expedition assessment price includes: meals as above, cook, transfers to and from airport to start of trek, 2 nights accommodation in hotel, 1 night in a gite (basic dormitory) english speaking local guide, leader from UK (DofE expedition assessor), camping equipment as below, drinking water whilst on trek, return international flights London - Marrakesh

Not included: food on assessment, tips for guides, lunch & dinner in Marrakech, sightseeing entrance fees, soft drinks or alcoholic beverages, travel insurance, water purifying tablets.

Additional information

Berber Treks supply tents, cooking pans, stoves and gas canisters for all participants. Participants must cater for themselves on assessment however meals are catered for them on the acclimatisation day. Participants are required to carry all of their camping equipment, cook their own meals, write route cards, carry out an aim and are remotely supervised and assessed by an acredited assessor. Participants must also bring enough water purification tablets for the whole trek and each group will trek the same route with 30 minute staggered start, please enquire to see a route map.
