Mt M'Goun trek - second highest mountain in Morocco
The Mt M'Goun trek consists of 5 days trekking in the Ait Bougamez and M'Goun valleys in Morocco . Ait Bougamez is fondly known as 'happy valley' as all the inhabitants are always happy and smiling. During this trek you will journey through wide valleys and over steep passes to be rewarded by exceptional Moroccan panoramas. We will take a circular route and our accommodation will be a mixture of gites and camping. On your return to Marrakech there will be the opportunity to explore De Jemma El Fna and its souks, food markets and historic palaces.

Trek style
Staying overnight in gites (basic dormitories) and camping in 2 man tents. Trekking with a day pack to a different location everyday. Main luggage is portaged by mules. All meals provided whilst on trek by our expedition cook. Trek led by qualified Moroccan guide who speaks English fluently.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Marrakech - hotel included, meals at own expense
Day 2: Drive from Marrakech to Tabant 1850m (6 hours) - gite, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 3: Trek from Tabant to Azib n'Ikkis 2250m (4 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 4: Trek from Azib n'Ikkis to Tarkeddid 2900m (4 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 5: Trek from Tarkeddid to M'Goun Summit 4068 to Oulilimt Bivouac 2648m (7 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 6: Trek from Oulilimt Bivouac to Tighremt N-Ait Ali 2235m (4 hours trekking) - camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 7: Trek from Tighremt N-Ait Ali to Tabant 1850m (5 hours trekking) - gite, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 8: Return to Marrakech (6 hours) - hotel, breakfast & lunch included
Day 9: Depart Marrakech, breakfast only included
Price includes: meals as above, cook, transfers to and from airport, transfers to and from trek, camping equipment, campsite fees, 2 nights accommodation in basic dormitory (gite), 2 nights accommodation in 3* hotel in Marrakech, english speaking local guide, mules and muleteers, drinking water on trek
