Kilimanjaro Lemosho route - 8 day trek 

With extra initial trekking days the Lemosho route provides the best opportunity for you to acclimatise before reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro 5895m. During your trek you will encounter varied terrains and landscapes from jungle, moorland, plateau, rockfaces to alpine. The trek is strenuous, exhilarating and challenging but your efforts will be rewarded with beautiful panoramas, sunsets and not to mention our friendly Tanzanian mountain guides and porters.

Trek style

Sleeping in 2 man tents, twin rooms whilst in Arusha hotel. Trekking with a day pack to a different camp everday, Main luggage is portaged. All meals provided whilst on trek by our expedition cook. Trek led by qualified Tanzanian guide who speaks English fluently.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro airport and transfer to hotel in Arusha (45 mins) Hotel & dinner included
Day 2: Transfer to Londorossi Gate 2200m (3 hours) Trek to Big Tree camp 2700m (4 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 3: Trek from Big Tree camp 2700m up to 3600m and camp at Shira 1 3500m. (7 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 4: Trek from Shira 1 camp 3500m up to Shira Cathedral 3900m and Shira 2 camp 3840m (6 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 5: Trek from Shira 2 camp 3840m up to Lava Tower 4550m and to Barranco camp 3940m (6 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 6: Scramble up Barranco wall 4200m and to Karanga valley camp 3930m. Then take an afternoon acclimatisation trek up to 4200m and return to camp. (6 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 7: Trek from Karanga valley camp 3930m to Barafu camp 4620m. (3 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 8: Summit trek from Barafu camp 4620m to Stella Point and Uhuru peak 5895m. Descend to Millenium camp 3700m (15 hours trekking) Camping, breakfast, lunch & dinner included
Day 9: Trek from Millenium camp 3700m to Mweke gate 1800m (6 hours trekking) Transfer to hotel in Arusha (2 hours) Hotel, breakfast, lunch & celebration dinner included
Day 10: Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport Breakfast only included

Price includes: meals as above, cook, transfers to and from airport, transfers to and from trek, camping equipment, campsite fees, 2 nights accommodation in 3* hotel in Arusha, english speaking local guide, local doctor, porters, drinking water on trek.
