From here you can preview the darkly comic Infidelity Diary, as written by Elizabeth Burns. Read it if you are in a serious relationship, out of one, contemplating one or just thoughtlessly ruining someone else's. You will want to laugh but bear in mind that, although everybody's name has been changed, this story is an absolutely true story with a purpose - it offers tentative answers to some very important questions. Can an act of betrayal be un-picked, its origins exposed? Is there a way out of the distress besides the traditional murder/suicide solutions? Can your sex life ever be the same? Which goes sour the quickest - an extra-marital sex-fest or a pot of Lemon Meringue Yoghurt? Are your sex life and your love life really one and the same thing? Is the cheat always 'guilty' and are the 'cheated on' always completely in the clear? Do the 'guilty' pay a price? And is it possible for any of us to come out of such a situation without 'emotionally scarred' written all over us?
I sincerely hope you find the experiences recounted in my Diary both darkly entertaining and truly helpful (in a twisted kind of way). The pictures are all my own, taken in my favourite little city, Inverness, and surrounding countryside - exactly where all the 'action' took place!
