About the Company :-
Artist Derek Wood to showcase paintings and photgraphs of the Scottish Highlands and golf courses.
About the main artist :-
Derek paints in watercolour but gets such strength and depth in his work that many pieces have been mistaken for oil paintings. Derek's paintings capture the local landscapes and buildings near his home in the Easter Ross village of Balintore in the Highlands of Scotland. In recent years Derek has combined his passion for painting with his passion for golf and has captured many of the magnificent Highland courses in their full glory.
About the main artist's family :-
Derek inherits his artistic touch from his mother Diana who is an accomplished landscape artist in her own right and several of her paintings can be viewed on this site.
Great Aunt Hancy who is 93 years young is also an accomplished artist and many of her paintings are now available for viewing on this site.
Younger brother Graham's interests lie in photography and samples of his work are available for viewing.
Derek's daughter Ayasha is currently studying Art in Glasgow and will hopefully be contributing her skills to this site - watch this space.
What we can supply :-
Primarily, we can offer original paintings done in various media including watercolour, acrylic and oil paints with sizes to customer specifications, (up to A0 size). We also can offer fine art and photography limited edition prints at A4, A3 and A2 size dependant on the size of the original item.
We already have clients as far afield as the USA and Europe so distance is definately not a problem.
