A personal funeral ceremony

I am an independent non-religious funeral celebrant in Bristol, Gwent and Gloucestershire (Glos). I will create for you/with you a personal funeral ceremony that’s purely for you - not standardised or stuffy.

With me as funeral celebrant, you are completely free to decide for a wholly secular funeral ceremony like a humanist funeral, or you may prefer to include spiritual or religious elements you feel are lovely.

I apply my long experience of shaping communication in words, and my excellent and thorough “Green Fuse” training, to bring you a moving, meaningful and memorable funeral service, guided by your wishes and beliefs and those of the person who has died.

For a contemporary funeral, I will be guided by your memories and precious stories of the person whom you  knew and love, expressed in words, music and ceremony which you feel are just right for the occasion.

Your ceremony will be as down-to-earth or as spiritual as you wish. It may feel reflective,  gentle,  nurturing,  powerful, or even funny. Your values, beliefs & choices are my guide.

I bring to my funeral celebrancy qualities that I draw from my substantial experience as a bereavement counsellor, of public speaking, and my work in a hospice - qualities such as calmness, reliability, and understanding.

You may want me to design the funeral service wholly for you, or you may want to choose yourselves some or all of what we will say and do on the day.
