Welcome to the Glencroft Rabble's web site - digital home of the team that embraces the world of cycling in its many forms. The Glencroft Rabble has podiumed at all the big British 24 hour races; Mountain Mayhem, Sleepless in the Saddle, Twentyfour12, Strathpuffer and Relentless. The crowning glory has been winning the UK 24 hr Championship 2015 organised by No Fuss Events. The Glencroft Rabble are a crack team of riders specialized in the efficient consumption of tea and decimation of cakey goodness. We also do a bit of racing...these days it's more road action in our respective road teams but the Rabble ethic remains! Check out our Facebook page for more up to date news on the Glencroft Rabble! Glencroft Rabble OriginsThe Glencroft Rabble name originates from the 5-a-side footy team that Gavin, James and their cousins, Dave and RiRi played for. Aunty Kay came up with the name at the national 6-day orienteering event where a friendly football competition was being held as a side event. Glencroft is the Shirley's home. The black head logo is that of a goat - a slightly scarier portrait of the goat on the croft! The name was first used for the team at the inaugral running of Strathpuffer 24hr, 2006. Nevis Cycles and what was once Off Beat Bikes paid for the original Rabble jerseys. In 2010, Nevis Cycles continued to support Glencroft Rabble who were also joined by Full Beam High Performance Lights. Nevis Cycles and Full Beam funded the latest Rabble's jerseys and Full Beam provide the team with the best bike lights on the market. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
