Glasgow Ski Touring Club

GTSC is the Glasgow and west of Scotland club for those interested in ski touring, on Nordic, Telemark and Ski-mountaineering equipment.

Winter 2020-21 is destined to be kyboshed by the pandemic just like 2019-20 was brought to a premature end. There are differences though, with much more snow in the mountains than we have been used to seeing in recent years, and the fact that we cannot legitimately travel to the snow to get skiing. Lack of snow local to Glasgow has prevented most efforts close to home, with rare exceptions.

Even outdoor non-skiing activities have been prevented. Planning  changes in arrangements for Club trips has continued by email and with the committee meeting by Zoom, and everything is very provisional in the circumstances. The much delayed AGM was also held by Zoom.

The bookings for this year have been replanned for similar dates next year.

Membership subs are due in August. The form can be found in the LIBRARY section (GSTC mem form 2020). The LIBRARY section also has past newsletters for download.
