Welcome to Freelance Writing.

Hi, my name is Sharon McGrath, I am 45 years old and I am a freelance writer based in Orpington, Kent. I first started my career as a writer when I landed a job as a copy typist for a local based newspaper.

Most of my writing skills and knowledge have been self taught, but decided to move into freelance journalism whilst studying freelance journalism at college, along with ITEC Elementary & Intermediate typewriting skills along with a diploma in I.B.M. Word Processing.

On the course we learnt a range of skills including article marketing, press releases and also future trends.

My Background

After graduating from my course, I had a wide portfolio of writing skills. I started off going freelance whilst working for a local newspaper as a copy typist, creating articles on skin care. Mainly I worked closely with a team of reporters.

Present

My current role see's me working from home in Orpington, Kent. I am self employed as a freelance writer seeing me create all types of work for clients and I am loving the experience so far!
