British Exploring 2014 Expedition
British Exploring Society runs expeditions to remote and challenging parts of the world for young people aged 16 to 25. It is a charity with its headquarters at the Royal Geographical Society, Kensington, London.
My name is Nic Bullivant, I work as Head Ranger at Cairngorm, on the northern slopes of the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland. I have always been attracted to Northern latitudes, with previous visits to Norway and Iceland, and glacier walks and climbs in the Alps.
In 2014 I was privileged to be invited to join The British Exploring Society's expedition to Arctic Finnmark 16th July - 17th August 2014 as an Adventure Leader. While always aware of the importance of contributing to the whole expedition, and particularly the care and enjoyment of the Young Explorers, this was a superb personal adventure in which I participated to the full.
I'm delighted to be able to share these experiences with you, but things move on, and I will be deleting this website around the 3rd December 2016. If you wish to get in touch with me about this, e-mail nic.bullivant@gmail.com.
