WelcomeEnergy Healing is an alternative medicine. It is often considered as a product of the New Age. In fact, energy healing has been around us for thousands of years. In Chinese, it is called "Chi" or "Qi"; it is "Prana" in Sanskrit; in Greek it is "Pneuma"; and it is "Ka" in Egyptian. It is the vital force for life-giving and life-enhancing, essential to our balanced state of health in Body, Mind and Spirit. When we encounter illness, we seek treatments from our medical doctors who view our health as a package of chemical existence, which is only partially true! When we concern of our weight, we do calculations of calories. When we care about our metabolism, we make sure we have balanced vitamin intakes from foods or pills. Are we only a composition of chemicals? From the moment we arrive to this planet earth with this very first breath that turned our blue infant body to pink; up to the time we leave this planet earth by taking the very last deep breath; our life is sustained by the unseen "Life Force". We do not just live as a sack of chemistry. We are a being who carries life force, surrounded by life force and exchanging life force. We are like fish in the water, and we don't know what water is. The life force energy flows through our body along "Meridian Lines" that are mapped in us. Acupuncture has been a well established Chinese medicine with 5000 years of history. It was developed through an extensive study of these meridian lines and the energy flow. It is so advanced that back in 190 A.D. a famous doctor named Hua Tuo performed surgery on the great General Guan Yu without anesthetic. He was injured by a poisoned arrow but with a few needles pinched on his meridian lines, the doctor was able to clean his flesh down to the bone to remove necrosis while he was happily playing chess with others in his gazebo! In the world of Western medicine about 500 years ago, the last resource for this kind of injury would be amputation. The doctor would provide a piece of cloth to the patient to clench in his mouth to help pass the moments of pain when sawing off his limbs. Unfortunately only those who could stand the extreme pain and blood loss would survive.
