Do you play tennis? Fancy a social knock-about, or occasional competitive game of tennis?
Why not pop along to Strathpeffer Tennis club!
All you need is a racquet and sturdy trainers, otherwise it's fairly informal. We’re a friendly crowd who meet twice a week at the tennis courts in Strathpeffer’s Pavilion Gardens, on most Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings, weather permitting.
And if you want to develop your game, then Stuart (LTA level 3 coach), can advise you on ways to improve your tennis strokes, tactics, etc.
Everyone mixes in, with court time shared out as players arrive, so everyone gets to play. Club members also fix up informal matches outside club times.
So if you’re new to tennis or an improver there are members and opportunities to help develop your game. And all for a small club membership fee, to help cover running costs (like tennis balls for club sessions).
We enjoy annual club competitions, fairly low key, more tea and cakes than getting your name on the club trophy. And there are inter-club tournaments, when the keenies travel to meet and play against local tennis clubs such as Tain Tennis Club.
