OUR STORY
Deer Rum was established in 2020 on the Isle of Rum during the Coronavirus Pandemic. We are a family run business that provides high quality Wild Venison from our Island. The Deer are raised in an extensive Nature Reserve and are completely wild with no human intervention. They are also studied by the Deer Project, part of Edinburgh University, who have been here for over 50 years and have collected invaluable data.
At Deer Rum, all our Sausages, Burgers, Jerky and soon to be Staggis (Venison Haggis) are all Homemade on Island using Wild Ingredients whenever possible found on Island. We have an abundance of Rowan Berry Trees, Wild Garlic, Brambles, Chanterelle Mushrooms to name but a few which we have incorporated in to our finished Venison Products.
