WINTER BREAKS

If you wish to take a short winter break we charge a flat rate of £300 for up to 7 days (£25 reduction for 2 people). Our costs are higher in the winter and it is important to us that you are comfortable with no additional charges for electricity.

Winter breaks are only offered in the months of November and March. Our UK guests tend to use use London Heathrow. where there are winter flights to Crete via Athens. If you use the same airline for the second leg of your journey, your luggage will be transferred for you by the airline.  N.B. If you time your holiday right you can benefit from direct flights on the outward journey in November and the return journey at the end of March.

Our winter visitors appreciate the peace of quiet during winter when the island reverts to its native inhabitants. Fodele being a working village, remains open, unlike the resorts. This means that you can use the Tavernas ; the bakery and the 2 small supermarkets. You will become part of the village community within a short time. One of our guests who stayed in Daisy a number of years ago, has never returned to England !

There is a very small English presence in Fodele.......may be 10 people in all.

You can lease a car  in the village and visit every corner of the island. We are so centrally placed in Crete that no journey should be too demanding. The roads are quiet ; the queues have gone and the island is yours to enjoy !
