Use the pages of this website to help you develop your English skills.  There are sections for learners who are preparing for Functional Skills English exams as well as pages for emloyability skills.  In addition to this, there is a separate section for budding writers and here you will find ideas and tasks to help you move forward in creative writing; whether this be poetry, short stories or novel writing. 

Descriptive Writing - Use all the senses. Visualise yourself by the edge of the pool. What can you hear, smell, see? Skim your hand through the water. How does it feel?	Empathising Empathising means imagining how you would feel in someone else's situation. Imagine you are the guitarist in the photo. Write half a page describing how you would feel. Remember to use as many of the senses as possible.
