This presentation looks at the cloak of secrecy that exists in Britain and even touches on the fascinating subject of spies.
The aim is to enlighten those who are not aware of what is happening around us.
Little is known about many of the secret societies that exist in the UK, many of which are just known to the members themselves.
Here we look at what is possibly the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Some societies are now more open about their aims and objectives, while others keep their activities a closely guarded secret.
We have no intention of disclosing their secrets, other than what is already in the public domain, but simply aim to explain their motives and aspirations.
The content of this website is gathered, in good faith, from various Internet sources and a facility is provided for feedback and corrections.
It has to be said that many of the organisations do not like to be classified as 'secret societies' but more of as groups of like-minded people who wish to remain anonymous to outsiders, with the aim to benefit the community and often raise much money for charity and good causes.
Belonging to a 'secret society' often creates a personal feeling of great satisfaction and security as members look after those in the group in times of need.
