Barton Hill Amateur Boxing Club (BHABC)
Barton Hill Amateur Boxing Club was opened by ex world super-middleweight champion and Bristol boy Glen Catley on 4th February 2007.
The club started out to help the youngsters of Barton Hill and surrounding areas stay safe and encourage them to participate in sports and to teach them discipline and respect for others.
The club is fully affiliated to ABA of E and over the last few years the club has grown and been able to help many boxers, but has also produced several Westren Counties champions with boxers in the national championships too.
We have approximately 500 people attending the club each month, from all ethnicities and backgrounds, with ages varying from 6 to 65 yrs
We are a boxing club first and foremost, but we are also part of the community of Barton Hill, with the support of locals we intend to try and emulate what Barton Hill boxing club did in the past over 50 years ago.
Following a huge refurbishment in the summer of 2014, the club now is looking great and we have increased equipment. Come along and find out more!!
