Polite Ponies & Posh Horses

We are a small Family run business, We break horses, and ponies, and do all aspects such as groundwork for getting your horse ready for being ridden and driven on and off the road for an enjoyable experience for the horse and owner. groundwork can be anything from brushing the horse/ pony to building up trust and respect between owner and horse, to walking the horse/ pony on a halter safely. in our many years of breaking in horses/ponies we know that every horse or pony is different. We have broken and re- schooled Warmbloods, Thoroughbred to Traditional Cobs, To Welshes, To Totters. there is not a horse we will not try. Our services include project horses/ponies, less than 18 month horses/ ponies for extra manners ( call it etiquette for horses.) while your horse/ pony is with us they will learn to:

Resect their owners by walking in-hand in the correct manner the horse/ pony will be confident in what it is doing.
They will be broken to ride and drive in a safe and calm way.
The horses, ponies will go through many obsticles to help them become bomb proof such as walking over tires, metal drains, road signs, road cones etc.
While your horse/ pony/ Foal is with us they will be kept in a lovely well grassed paddock with other horses so they can lean to interact with other horses and carry on with every day habits.
We have stables for those horses that get chilly in the cold.
We teach the horse/ pony to be responsive to the bit and learn to the bit willingly.
Horses/ ponies that come to us start of being troublesome and generallty the owner does not know how to cope with your horse in a way that he understands.

the horse/ pony will lern to listen and respond to different voice commands:

stand
walk
trot
Canter
go on a lunge line
work on long rein
Depending on what needs are required
