Covesea Lighthouse
Covesea Lighthouse built following a storm in the Moray Firth in November 1826 when 16 vessels were sunk, stands on top of a small headland on the popular westbeach at Stotfield to protect boats from the Halliman Skerries, Lossiemouth on the Moray coast, Scotland. This oil on canvas painting is dedicated to those 21 fishermen lost in the earlier 1806 Stotfield disaster. |
