Bar None Community Choir

Hi.  Welcome to our website.  

We are a community choir based in Lochgilphead.  We are open to anyone and everyone over the age of 18 years who would like to join us.  We don't hold auditions so you don't need to worry about being a fantastic singer.  Don't get us wrong, there are some spectacularly good singers in our choir but a lot of us are just your average shower singer who gets strength and confidence from singing in a group.

We're all about fun.  We're very relaxed and dedicated to making sure we always enjoy our evenings together but we still want to sound good so practice hard when we get together.  

We're a very new choir ... we only started on the 13th of May 2013 ... ah, seems like just yesterday.  On our first night we had 30 people turn up for practice, which was a fantastic surprise, especially as we had only put out 10 chairs!

Here we are, just a few months later and we have had some people come and some people go but our membership list has grown and is currently sitting at 55 members.  We think this is fantastic, particularly as we have been running continually throughout the summer holiday period.  

We meet every Monday evening in the Stag Hotel, Lochgilphead from 7.15p.m. until 9.00p.m.

Our choir leaders are the very talented Stephen Povey and Fiona Simpson, both high school music teachers in Lochgilphead.
